Enjoy creating your unique offering in The Yurt! Your rental includes:

• Access to enjoy our outdoor space including a ridge-line view of jumping pound creek, fire pit, large deck, seasonal pond (if we get lots of precipitation) and our friendly horses coming for a visit periodically

• The Yurt is proudly entirely off grid with solar lighting, a wood stove fire for heating and a beautified porta-potty for washroom facilities. This means we have no electricity for plug ins. Please plan ahead for this. For example, bring a charged phone and bluetooth speaker for music

• We have a car limit of 12, but the space can accommodate more people so carpooling is encouraged.

• SPACING:

  • If hosting something where you want people to have ample space, we recommend 10-12 people total

  • You can fit up to 18 yoga mats

• WHAT'S PROVIDED:

  • enough bolsters, blankets, pillows, blocks and straps for 12 people
  • 7 yoga mats
  • 6 square interlocking cushioned flooring (added padding or insulation)
  • 4 poufs
  • 3 couch chairs
  • 1 fold up table
  • picnic table and benches outside and 3 Adirondack chairs
  • fire wood (indoor and outdoor)
  • kettle, tea pot, assortment of tea
  • disposable cups but we really encourage you to ask your guest to bring their own mug if you are serving tea to limit our environmental impact
  • water jug with drinkable water. Please ask your guests to bring a full water bottle 

• You are welcome to set up the space in a way that feels good for your event. Please put it back the way you found it

• You are welcome to bring food or have your event catered but you are responsible for taking ALL garbage and recycling with you, sweep crumbs and ensure there is no food remaining

• We are NOT an overnight accommodation

• If you would like us to share about your event on social media, please make us a collaborator on your posts/reels @theyurt.ca. This way your post automatically gets shared to our page if we accept it. Ensure you tag us in your stories so we can also share that too!​​

CANCELLATION POLICY:

​

Event cancellations must be made through the vagaro site or email to theyurtcochrane@gmail.com. If THE RENTER cancels with more than 21 days notice prior to the event date, THE RENTER will not be subject to a cancellation fee. If THE RENTER cancels between 7 and 21 days before event date, they will be subject to a cancellation fee of half the total cost of booking fee. If THE RENTER cancels within 7 days prior to the event date, they will be charged the full booking fee amount.​

*** IMPORTANT INFORMATION FOR WINTER BOOKINGS***

We have a few changes in the “dream stage” at The Yurt right now which means we have blocked off bookings from Dec - March 1 for the time being until we put more things into action and know how it will unfold. We intend to open these dates back up for bookings as soon as possible. You are welcome to waitlist your booking date Dec-Feb and we will notify you as soon as we can if it can go-ahead.

We will keep you posted here and our website when winter bookings will resume.
